2011 Mercedes E-Class Cabrio with AMG Package

Mercedes E-Class Cabrio with AMG Package

In addition to the forthcoming Prime Edition, Mercedes will also offer an AMG Sports package for the newly launched E-Class Cabrio. Unlike the Prime Edition, which seems to have an entire catalog of Mercedes models to choose from, the AMG Sports package will only be available for the E500 model.
The rather exclusivity of the AMG Sports package comes to the fact it comes with some pretty nifty additions, not the least of which includes an AMG sports steering wheel, multicontour front seats and – in conjunction with an automatic transmission – shift paddles on the steering wheel.
In addition to that, the exterior gets light-alloy wheels featuring AMG six-twin-spoke styling, a special front and rear apron, and side sill panels. As well as providing the car with a dynamic appearance, the AMG Sports package also includes AGILITY CONTROL sports suspension, whose speed-sensitive sports steering has a more direct ratio. Perforated brake discs are also included in the package.

2011 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3

Mercedes SLS AMG GT3

While everyone is still waiting for the SLS AMG roadster version, Mercedes decided to surprise us with a GT3 version - racing version of the gullwing model. The sports car will compete in the 2011 racing season.
The SLS AMG GT3 features a new new front apron with a splitter, the bonnet with central cooling air vent, wider front and rear wings, sideskirts with cooling ducts for the rear brakes, a rear diffuser and the adjustable rear aerofoil.
The race car will be powered by the same 6,3 liter V8 engine, but tuned to deliver an impressive +600 hp (up from a standard 571 hp).
Also on the interior AMG will drop all luxury such as air conditioning, navigation and upholstery. Instead the car will get a steel rollover cage, racing buucket seat with a six-point seat belt and HANS system.
